Mini PC RAM upgrade guide: DDR4 vs DDR5, speeds and slots

Every model here has two SODIMM slots (laptop-size memory). The generation decides DDR4 or DDR5; the two are not interchangeable.

Check what is installed first: 2 × 8 GB leaves no free slot, so going to 32 GB means replacing both.
Buy a matched 2-module kit for dual-channel bandwidth.
Speed: buy the listed speed or faster; faster modules run at the platform's maximum.
Keep the old modules if you run a cluster: they can go into another node.
