Used mini PCs that work as an OPNsense or pfSense router
A router needs at least two network ports. USB Ethernet adapters work but are the least reliable option for a firewall. A PCIe slot (for a dual/quad-port Intel NIC) or HP's Flex IO network module avoids that.
